About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Support Worker to join our team at Goodwin Aged Care Services. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients with independent living within their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality care and support to our clients, ensuring they receive the services and support they need to maintain a safe, independent, and high-quality life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Domestic Support: Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Transport: Safely transport clients to appointments and outings.
  • Shopping: Assist clients with grocery shopping and other errands.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications to clients as required.
  • Respite Care: Provide respite care to clients, giving their primary caregivers a break.
  • Socialisation: Engage clients in social activities, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Other Support Tasks: Perform other support tasks as required, such as light housekeeping and meal preparation.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Certificate III Individual Support (Aged Care/Home & Community) or higher.
  • Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Motor vehicle with current registration and full comprehensive insurance.
  • Copies of licence, registration, and insurance must be provided prior to commencement and upon renewal.
  • Mobile phone (smart phone) with sufficient credit and data.
  • Medication Skill Set highly desirable.
  • Experience in delivering care outcomes for older people.
  • Experience in achieving outcomes and skill development.
  • Sound level skills in office systems, procedures, documentation, and record keeping.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Flexibility in work and thought processes to multitask on diverse work types.
