Job Role

The position of Clinical Nurse Consultant in diabetes care requires an expert to provide leadership and guidance on best practice for patient care.

This consultant will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant clinical standards are met, evidence-based, and continuously evaluated. They will implement harm reduction strategies for patients at risk of clinical deterioration and link research to clinical practice.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent and post-graduate qualification in the speciality field
  • At least 5 years full-time experience after registration and at least 3 years' experience in the specialty field
  • Credentialed Diabetes Educator

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Research experience
  • Experience working in private health settings
