Clinical Nurse Specialist - Key Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Diabetes Service at St Vincent's Public Hospital in Sydney. This is a part-time role working 16 hours per week, providing expert clinical care, leadership, and education in the management of diabetes across inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • This role requires a registered nurse with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least three years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
  • The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate evidence-based, clinically sound and holistic patient care in partnership with clients and their families and other health professionals.
  • Taking an extended leadership role in the coordination of nursing and healthcare within and across different care contexts to facilitate optimal health outcomes.

About The Role

This is a key role that provides specialist nursing care to patients with diabetes, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in nursing, with relevant qualifications and experience in managing diabetes.

  • You will need to be currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team at a senior level.
  • Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) status with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA).
