Leadership Opportunity in Meteorological Services

The role of Senior Project Manager is a critical position that oversees the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and value-adding services to the Australian energy and resources sectors.

  • Lead the service delivery team to deliver accurate, timely, and effective meteorological services.
  • Oversee the strategic direction of service delivery, contributing to the planning of the E&R program.
  • Accountable for staff development, capability building, scientific development, quality assurance, and operational and customer outcomes.

This senior leadership role requires an experienced and motivated people-centered leader, providing leadership and technical competency to a team working towards an agile operations approach.

You will be responsible for leading the E&R service delivery team, overseeing the strategic direction of service delivery, and ensuring quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience in leadership, project management, and meteorological services.

This role requires an understanding of the energy and/or resources sectors, science, and operational forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma from an Australian educational institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, which is appropriate to the duties.
