Key Responsibilities:- Preparing and compiling comprehensive briefs of evidence, including making requests for statements from witnesses, and drafting court documents using approved templates.
- Reviewing evidence for accuracy and making requests for further information and evidentiary material to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintaining and updating records and databases, filing, and performing administrative tasks to support the Brief Coordinator.
- Providing critical information, advice, and solutions to the Brief Coordinator, investigating officers, prosecutors, stakeholders, or other government departments in relation to briefs of evidence.
- Compiling detailed reports and statistical data for senior management in relation to briefs of evidence.
- Criminal history screening will be conducted on the suitable person for the role.
- Experience in an enforcement or prosecution environment is highly regarded.
- Able to review, analyse and interpret complex information relating to briefs of evidence with high attention to detail.
- Prioritise work, manage time, and problem solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Make informed decisions, recommendations, and demonstrate sound judgement about when to escalate an issue.
- Communicate clearly, succinctly, and deliberately, both orally and in writing.
- Experience working in a high-volume, decision-making environment requiring quick, accurate decisions.
This position remains available for 12 months.
