**About the role**
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Prosecution Leader to join our team. This exciting new position will be responsible for leading and managing prosecutions on behalf of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) in Queensland.
The establishment of our northern operations completes a national consolidation of heavy vehicle (over 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass) regulation across Australia. Our vision is to have a safe, efficient and productive heavy vehicle industry serving the country. With the transition of operations to NHVR well underway, this position will be pivotal in our QLD service delivery.
At a high level, you will provide strategic and specialist direction, support and advice to the Director Prosecutions on all matters relating to staff, prosecutions, court outcomes and orders register management and coroner's briefings. You will also play a critical role in managing and coordinating court appearances for the Prosecution team, including allocating files to the prosecutors, providing legal support to the prosecutors in Court and managing their professional development.

Based in our modern Brisbane office, this is a full-time position and will be offered as a 3-year term contract.
**About You**
As a natural leader you will enjoy coaching and developing a high performing team and can foster successful professional relationships with key stakeholders. With high level interpersonal and communication skills you will have the ability to deliver a high standard of customer service for internal and external clients.
Your strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organisational skills and experience in the provision of complex legal advice at a senior level will be integral to this position.
Essential requirement is you must be admitted or immediately eligible to hold an unrestricted practising certificate in QLD.
