About the role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Specialist in Anaesthesia to deliver comprehensive anaesthesia and perioperative medicine services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality patient care across elective, emergency and acute care settings;
  • Contributing to clinical leadership, quality improvement initiatives, and safe patient outcomes;
  • Providing education and supervision to medical students, registrars, and clinical staff;
  • Participating in the on-call roster, supporting surgical and critical care services.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia as an Anaesthetist;
  • Broad recent experience in anaesthesia, including acute pain and perioperative medicine, with demonstrated expertise in regional anaesthesia;
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team;
  • A commitment to teaching, research and continuous quality improvement;
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call roster and provide timely support.
