Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a current UNSW student to contribute to the university's decision-making processes and shape the future of student life at UNSW. As a Student Representative, you will attend and participate in UNSW and Divisional board or committee meetings, sharing your experiences and ideas with colleagues from across the university.

You will also be responsible for seeking feedback from your peers and representing their interests at meetings, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued. Additionally, you will share outcomes from meetings with student groups where appropriate, maintaining confidentiality when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend and participate in UNSW and Divisional board or committee meetings
  • Seek feedback from undergraduate, postgraduate, and higher degree research students and represent their interests at meetings
  • Share outcomes from meetings with student groups and maintain confidentiality when required
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives, and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and a commitment to attending relevant health and safety training
