Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Professional to join our team at Grace Worldwide. As a Group Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in driving a strong safety culture across our operations and blue-collar workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide health and safety advice, guidance, and support to management and staff.
- Develop and implement safety training programs to instruct employees in general safe work practices and specific instruction on hazards relative to our industry.
- Ensure performance objectives/outcomes are achieved within agreed time frames.
- Mentor managers to ensure all staff and branches operate in accordance with WHS compliance, providing coaching, training, guidance, effective communication, and timely reporting.
- Work with staff to ensure safety is a priority in business and day-to-day operations.
- Monitor and work with branch managers to ensure they cultivate a safe work environment for all.
- Conduct weekly analysis of incident trends, monitor safety performance, and report any adverse trends to Management.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure strategies for Return to Work.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with business leaders to develop preventative strategies to mitigate reoccurrence.
- Oversee compliance to Fleet Services and Maintenance Program, identifying and reporting non-compliance issues.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement during audits.
- Willingness and ability to travel interstate when required.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety, Risk Management, or similar is required, with Workplace Train the Trainer qualifications highly desirable.
- At least 2 years' experience working in a safety role, ideally within a blue-collar environment.
- Research and analyze activities to identify and address WHS risks.
- A team player with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and complex scenarios.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, professionalism, and pride in work.
- Think strategically and provide guidance and direction to the business, identifying opportunities for improvement, developing strategies, and providing innovative solutions.
- Passionate about achieving great results, enjoys measuring project success, and analyzing how to improve next time.
- Highly organized, outstanding time management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Confidence dealing with all levels of Management and Directors.
- Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to explain complex regulations in a clear and concise way.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach with excellent time management skills.
