Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is seeking an Aboriginal Family Support Worker to provide a liaison and support service to children and their families attending the Child, Youth Assessment & Therapeutic Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cultural brokerage, liaison, advocacy and support for clients, ensuring the coordination and facilitation of children and families for appointments and follow-ups.

To be considered for this position, you will require:

  • Identifies as an Aboriginal person; recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community
  • Excellent communication skills including fluency in one or more local Aboriginal languages, and the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment
  • Proven experience in providing support to Aboriginal Children and families
  • Current Drivers Licence
