Accounts Supervisor Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Accounts Team Leader within the government sector.

">

Supervising 4 accounts officers, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating financial activities while also assisting in payable functions of the department.

">

The role is based in Perth CBD, conveniently located close to public transport. This is a temporary assignment with extension possibilities for the right person past the initial 3-month mark. We require you to be immediately available and able to start as soon as possible.

Your New Role:

">

As an Accounts Team Leader, you will coordinate workflows and manage performance outputs of accounts officers. Your responsibilities will also include:

">

- Coordinate and lead accounts officers, including work planning and management of performance
- Facilitate training and development
- Ensure critical deadlines and period-end processes are met
- Responsible for workflow of invoices within the Payable functions
- Check accuracy of invoice data and correct discrepancies
- Reconciliations
- Manage documentation
- Prepare AP KPI information
- Undertake compliance audits

What You'll Need To Succeed:

Previous experience in supervising accounts officers and a strong background in accounts payable is essential, as is:

- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance (or working towards one)
- Demonstrated relevant accounting knowledge
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication
