About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Albury Wodonga Health as a Clinical Support Nurse in our Neonatal and Newborn Services team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical support and supervision to nursing and midwifery staff in the special care nursery and maternity ward.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based best practices to ensure the delivery of safe and quality healthcare to newborns.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of education programs for nursing and midwifery staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in the special care nursery setting.
  • Sound clinical skills in the application of care to newborns in the maternity ward setting.
  • Ability to provide clinical support and education to nursing and midwifery staff.
  • Qualifications and experience in education in the clinical setting are highly desirable.
