We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our Psychiatry practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients with a professional demeanor and ensure their comfort and safety throughout their visit
  • Manage appointment bookings and schedules for multiple practitioners, ensuring accurate and timely communication with patients and staff
  • Process payments, Medicare, and health fund claims in a timely and efficient manner
  • Handle phone and email enquiries with discretion and empathy, responding promptly to all inquiries
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times
About You:
  • Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration (psychiatry or allied health experience highly regarded)
  • Strong communication skills and a caring, professional manner, with the ability to work effectively with patients and staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail and prioritizing tasks efficiently
