Liverpool Day Surgery, a reputable hospital and health care facility, is searching for a skilled Medical Receptionist to join our team.
As the first point of contact for our patients, the Medical Receptionist's role is critical to our success.
The ideal candidate must be a friendly and professional individual with exceptional organisational skills and a keen attention to detail.
As a Medical Receptionist for Liverpool Day Surgery, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our patients receive accurate and timely care.The spread of hours is from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday, therefore we are looking to employ someone who is flexible to fulfill this role as there may be an opportunity to share the spread of hours with another employee.ResponsibilitiesAttend to patients in person or over the phone regarding appointments, enquiries, and general informationExplain procedures, policies, and services offered by Liverpool Day Surgery to patientsCollect patient information and update patient records accurately and in a timely mannerSchedule appointments and maintain appointment records for patients and physiciansAnswer and direct phone calls, take messages, and route calls to appropriate staff membersReceive and sort mail, deliveries, and various correspondenceCollaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the facilityRequirementsProven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar roleExcellent knowledge of healthcare terminologies, procedures, and protocolsProficient in using various computer software and office equipmentPrior experience with HCN Bluechip software is desirableExceptional organisational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and prioritise effectivelyAbility to maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all timesHigh school diploma or equivalent is required; certificate in healthcare administration or related field is a plusBenefitsFree on-site parkingModern, comfortable and safe facilityFull time position with no weekend or public holiday work, annual Christmas/New Year close down period 3 weeks.
