Job Description

This is a fixed-term, full-time contract opportunity for an educator who can deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Drama and Media lessons. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of media concepts and dramatic arts in students.

The role requires a commitment to preparing students for assessments while promoting a positive, inclusive classroom environment. You will work closely with colleagues to support student achievement and may have opportunities to contribute to relevant extracurricular activities in the arts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality Drama and Media lessons that meet curriculum standards.
  • Teach core concepts in Drama and Media, highlighting real-world applications.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Tailor lessons to accommodate diverse learning needs and foster inclusivity.
  • Manage classroom behavior to create a dynamic learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on school initiatives and arts-related programs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed relevant qualification in Education.
  • A valid and up-to-date VIT registration.
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Previous experience as a Media and Drama Teacher (graduates welcome to apply).
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years.
