About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Waste Management Professional to lead our program development initiatives at the Greater Toowoomba Waste Management Facility.
As the Principal Program Development - Waste Management, you will play a key role in delivering projects and programs aligned with Council's Waste Management Strategy, working closely with the team to drive positive change in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement waste management programs and projects that align with Council's strategy and objectives;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions;
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure effective project delivery and stakeholder engagement;
- Analyse data and metrics to inform decision-making and evaluate program effectiveness;
- Maintain accurate records and reports on program progress and outcomes.
What You'll Need
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field;
- Proven experience in waste management program development and implementation;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- Familiarity with Council's policies and procedures;
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
