Our team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, motivating, and supporting their team to deliver exceptional performance and achieve quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical direction for servicing and maintaining a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Coordinate procurement of vehicle parts and manage workshop inventory.
  • Monitor and review work to ensure it meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational challenges quickly and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a Cert III in Automotive Engineering (or equivalent) and minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within a mechanical or fleet environment. They will also possess strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems, as well as solid experience in fleet maintenance, component rebuilds, or heavy equipment repairs.

A proven track record in leading teams and achieving performance goals is essential. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a good understanding of Work Health & Safety practices and hold relevant certifications such as HR Driver's Licence, First Aid + CPR, and National Police Clearance.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Cert III in Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role within a mechanical or fleet environment.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
  • Solid experience in fleet maintenance, component rebuilds, or heavy equipment repairs.
