We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Inventory Assistants in the Greater Newcastle Region.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a casual basis, attending different Woolworths owned sites every shift. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately count stock at each location using handheld PDAs. This involves physically counting items and then entering the data into the device.

The role requires you to be on your feet for most of the day, and while it may seem demanding, the days can go by quickly. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment, interacting with colleagues and customers alike.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Audit stock levels against company guidelines, targets, and timeframes;
  • Collaborate effectively with your team members to achieve shared goals;
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to WH&S and Food Safety policies;
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a friendly and efficient experience for all patrons;

To succeed in this position, you will need to possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with basic mathematical abilities. A current driver's license and access to your own vehicle are also essential, as you may be required to travel to various locations.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail;
  • Portraying a positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills;
  • Effective communication with customers and staff;
  • Availability to work flexible shifts from Monday to Thursday, including early morning starts;
  • Ability to travel periodically for up to four nights, staying in twin-share accommodation at the expense of Woolworths;
