Clinical Laboratory Operations Manager

The role of Technical Coordinator, Clinical Biology is a key position in our organization. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the operations of our Clinical Biology laboratories. This will involve coordinating day-to-day laboratory activities, providing expert technical advice and support to academic and research staff, supervising a team of technical officers, and ensuring compliance with OH&S standards and institutional policies.
This role requires strong leadership skills and a background in biological sciences. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support planning, audits, and infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate laboratory operations, including equipment use, procurement, and inductions.
- Provide expert technical advice and support to academic and research staff.
- Supervise a team of technical officers, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S standards and institutional policies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and risk assessments.
- Degree or higher qualification in Biological Sciences or related discipline.
- At least 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Supervisory or management experience is highly desirable.
- Current Working with Children Check (mandatory).
