Explosive Operations Team Member

We are seeking experienced and skilled individuals to fill explosive operations team member roles within our organization.

The selected candidates will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing various tasks, including dipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tie-in of blast patterns to achieve daily objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tie-in of blast patterns to meet operational targets in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring the safe use, storage, security, transport, and handling of explosives according to statutory and organizational requirements.
  • Operating ancillary equipment, such as stemming loaders.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure seamless execution of daily operations.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in explosive operations or related fields, preferably in open-cut mining environments.
  • Standard 11 qualification or willingness to obtain one.
  • QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including medicals and national background checks.
