Explosive Operations Specialist

We are seeking skilled professionals to fill the role of Explosive Operations Specialists. These individuals will be responsible for achieving daily objectives safely and efficiently.

  • Dipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tie-in of blast patterns
  • Ensuring the safe use, storage, security, transport, and handling of explosives
  • Operating ancillary equipment such as stemming loaders

To excel in this position, you will require:

  • Previous experience in a related field
  • Standard 11 certification
  • QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card or ability to obtain one
  • Experience in an open-cut mining environment
  • Desirable skills include RIIBLA201E – Support Shotfiring Operations
  • A proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Fitness and health to perform physically demanding tasks
  • The ability to pass pre-employment checks including medicals and national background checks
