About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead our care team in our aged care residence located in Benhome. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care is delivered to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assist other care employees to ensure seamless care delivery
- Build and foster partnerships with each resident, respecting and ensuring their dignity, and focusing on their health and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with the care team to coordinate and deliver care
- Provide complex clinical care, including wound dressing, medication administration, condition assessments, and referrals
- Enter reports and observations on the iCare computer program
- Evaluate and maintain care plans to meet changing needs of residents
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse DIV 1 - AHPRA Registered
- 2+ years previous experience in Aged Care
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of iCare (desirable)
- Understanding of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles
- Knowledge of Aged Care Legislation, Accreditation, and ACFI will be highly regarded
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- An enthusiastic and empathetic approach
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination
