About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced aged care Registered Nurse to lead our care team in one of our aged care residences. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care is delivered to our residents.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and guidance to our care team to ensure high-quality care is delivered to our residents.
- Supervising and assisting other care employees to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Building and fostering partnerships with each resident to respect and ensure their dignity, and focus on their health and wellbeing.
- Working collaboratively with our team to coordinate and deliver care.
- Providing complex clinical care, including wound dressing, administration of medications, condition assessments, and referrals.
- Entering reports and observations on our computer program, iCare.
- Evaluating and maintaining care plans to meet changing needs of residents.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with:
- Div 1 registration with AHPRA.
- At least 2 years of experience in aged care.
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of iCare.
- Understanding of WHS responsibilities, including manual handling principles.
- Knowledge of aged care legislation, accreditation, and ACFI.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- An enthusiastic and empathetic approach.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination.
