Mallee Orange Door Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Mallee Orange Door Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with women, children, and families to provide high-quality, safe, and effective responses to those seeking support and safety through the Mallee Orange Door.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the MARAM framework and experience conducting risk assessments and managing complex family assessments. You will also have a working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children, Youth & Families Act 2005, and the Family Violence Protection Act 2008.
As a Mallee Orange Door Specialist, you will be responsible for engaging with families and individuals to increase safety and linking them with appropriate services to meet their needs. You will also work with perpetrators to provide them with an opportunity to change their behavior and hold them accountable.
We offer a competitive salary of $87,675.81 per annum, plus statutory superannuation. You will also have the option to maximize your income through salary packaging.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Possession of the mandatory qualification required for the position
- Experience conducting risk assessments and managing complex family assessments
- Working knowledge of the Children, Youth & Families Act 2005
- Awareness and knowledge of relevant legislation
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant theory as it relates to child and adolescent development, attachment, and separation
- Experience providing parents and/or caregivers with advice and support concerning child or adolescent behavioral issues
- Demonstrated ability to engage and relate to a range of different people from various backgrounds and cultures
