About the Role

As a Freight Officer, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient handling and receipt of goods. The role involves operating various sized counterbalance forklifts (2.5 T, 7 T and 16 T) to process general freight from beginning to end.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide, with ratchet straps, chains and binders.
  • Ensure accurate and complete scanning for freight in received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions.
  • Prepare outgoing freight, ensuring goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch.

Additionally, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve business objectives and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

You will require extensive experience in operating heavy machinery and have a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You must also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
