We are currently looking for dedicated individuals to fill the role of Grounds Person on a permanent Full-time basis.

Role Overview:

  • Drive-In-Drive-Out schedule, working 2 weeks on followed by 1 week off
  • Overseeing the upkeep of the Mining Village's grounds, including gardens, pathways, and structures
  • Executing general maintenance tasks such as mowing, grounds cleaning, and landfill operations as needed
  • Performing waste management and landfill responsibilities as directed by management
  • Ensuring that maintenance programs meet the standards outlined in contract specifications
  • Maintaining the safety of both personnel and the public
  • Carrying out General Hand and Utility duties as required, including kitchen assistance

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge of Safe Work Practices
  • Experience in grounds maintenance (e.g., mowing, weed control)
  • Possession or willingness to obtain a Queensland Coal Board Medical and functional assessment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Adaptability to extreme weather conditions in Central QLD
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the work site
  • Forklift license is a plus
