Job Title: Digital Preservation Lead at Queensland State Archives
Digital Records Management and Archiving RoleThe successful candidate will oversee the management of digital records, ensuring they are preserved for future generations.
Key Responsibilities:- Digital Preservation Workflows: Develop and execute effective digital preservation workflows that meet user needs and adhere to best-practice methodologies.
- Preservation Strategies: Implement digital preservation strategies and develop policies, work plans, and resource management procedures to ensure long-term access to digital records.
- Methodology Development: Investigate and refine methodologies for sustainable and secure digital archiving, ensuring that digital records are preserved in a format that can be accessed and used by future generations.
- Preservation Expertise: Provide expert guidance on preservation formats, metadata, and imaging best practices to ensure that digital records are preserved in a way that is consistent with industry standards.
- Statistics and Reporting: Maintain statistics and prepare reports to inform program planning and continuous process improvement, ensuring that the digital preservation program remains effective and efficient.
