Role Overview

Contribute to the stability and integrity of Australia's financial markets as an analyst in a market infrastructure team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies and interventions to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Assess the suitability and ongoing appropriateness of financial products listed on public markets, providing evidence-based recommendations.
  • Research and analyze market developments and emerging issues to inform regulatory priorities, policy reform, and guidance.
  • Compose clear, concise reports, submissions, presentations, and internal advice on regulatory matters.
  • Analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to inform regulatory decisions and monitor sector trends.
  • Coordinate and contribute to effective engagement with internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulated entities and other regulators.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, economics, or law.
  • Experience working as an analyst in a regulatory, corporate, consulting, or academic setting.
  • Foundational understanding of exchange-traded financial products and financial market infrastructure is desirable; senior candidates may demonstrate deep technical knowledge and experience applying risk or compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, such as the Corporations Act and ASIC's Market Integrity Rules, is desirable for more senior candidates.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to support regulatory decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, good judgment, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
