About the Role

The Family Led Decision Making Practitioner role is a critical position within our organisation. This key member will be responsible for delivering an accountable, effective and culturally strong service that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families who have interacted with the child protection system.
  • Develop and implement high-quality case management strategies to achieve performance targets.
  • Empower families by providing targeted interventions to enhance their involvement in decision-making processes affecting their lives.
  • Serve as a conduit and lead case worker for Child Safety matters involving the supported family.
  • Conduct regular reviews of team tasks and performance.
  • Offer crisis care support when needed.
