Job Opportunity: Senior Coastal and Hydrodynamic Modeler

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Coastal and Hydrodynamic Modeler to join our team. This role involves working with engineers, approvals specialists, and other stakeholders to provide innovative solutions to marine and aquatic ecological issues.

  • Undertake numerical modelling for dredging, waste water discharges, and oil spills.
  • Analyse met-ocean/oceanographic and water quality data.
  • Develop and implement three-dimensional hydrodynamic modelling and two-dimensional spectral wave modelling.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of high-quality proposals and technical reports.
  • Support project management and coordination, collaborating effectively with project stakeholders to ensure successful client experience in project delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, regulators, and subcontractors, providing clear and concise information and recommendations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree qualifications in Environmental Engineering.
  • Experience with numerical modelling software (preferably MIKE software suite).
  • Efficient data management, mathematical and data analysis competencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, including experience in the preparation of reports for clients and/or regulators.
