Job Summary

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our visitor experience, showcasing the best tourism products in our region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model and guide for a team including volunteers
  • Develop and enhance organisational skills
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Lead and contribute to the delivery of projects
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, including eco-tourism

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the tourism industry for Victoria
  • Experience managing operational plans
  • Satisfactory completion of a relevant training course or equivalent knowledge gained through on-the-job experience
  • Ability to recommend solutions using knowledge, experience and creative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of software applications including Microsoft Office and database programs
  • Ability to provide guidance and supervision to other staff and volunteers and provide on-the-job training
  • Well-developed written skills are necessary in assisting with procedural formulation and producing activity reports
  • Highly developed verbal skills and an outgoing personality are required to effectively promote tourism activities to the public
  • A current Working With Children Check
  • Permanent right to live and work in Australia
  • Police Check results that are suitable for this position
