Job Description

The People Adviser will play a key role in our People & Culture Team based in our Adelaide Head Office. This 12-month opportunity reports directly to the General Manager People & Culture and is responsible for delivering a full range of human resource services through the provision of advice and guidance to leaders, employees, and internal HR stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR advisory support to employees and leaders to ensure continuous upgrading of people capability and implementation of people processes.
  • Use tools, guides, and relevant information (internal/external) to support leader and employee queries.
  • Coach and guide leaders as necessary through HR annual processes including but not limited to performance review systems, bonus and salary review and development plans.
  • Provide initial advice and assistance on policies, procedures, legislation, and enterprise agreements.
  • Participate in or lead performance management cases as required.
  • Participate in and contribute to the success of change programs in line with Santos' vision, values, and commercial priorities.
  • Facilitate and present HR programs as required.
  • Work with HR Centres of Excellence to examine and improve HR practices across the employee lifecycle with a view to identifying efficiencies and opportunities for provision of consistent service quality.
  • Operationalisation and implementation of HR Centres of Excellence initiatives
  • Conduct data analysis, reporting and necessary research to develop insights which assist with decision making.
  • Provide consulting support for organisation change initiatives and assist with communication strategies
Benefits

This role offers an estimated annual salary of $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience, exposure to all areas of the organisation, and an ability to influence outcomes whilst building the capability of our leaders and people. Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Psychology and bring previous experience in a customer-facing, HR service-oriented role. A strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet competing deadlines combined with managing multiple tasks and priorities are essential.
