Liability Specialist Role
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing liability and determining claims in accordance with legislation, guidelines and authorised limits.
Reporting to the Team Leader within the Eligibility Team, you will work collaboratively with the Claims Services Business Unit and Technical Specialist Team to ensure proactive and accurate liability assessments.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment of Liability: Assess all aspects of liability on allocated claims, meeting required time frames and keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
- Claim Determination: Proactively manage claim determinations for complex claims, ensuring clear documentation of actions throughout the determination process.
- Accuracy and Data Management: Maintain accuracy of claim determination data in Worksafes and EML's systems.
Requirements:
- Previous experience handling claims liability decisions or a background in worker's compensation.
- High level of resilience and ability to hold complex conversations.
- Attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to effectively listen and understand customer needs.
