Liability Underwriter Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Liability Underwriter to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Liability and Regional Manager to grow and develop a diversified liability portfolio.

This role requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as at least three years of liability underwriting experience. A solid understanding of client industries, businesses, and risks is essential for success in this position.

  • Work closely with brokers to build a general liability pipeline
  • Prepare and communicate quotations to clients
  • Negotiate rates and terms with brokers to secure new business
  • Prepare and present information on DUAL's Liability product to brokers to increase sales
  • Prepare and communicate bindings to ensure timely policy issuance
  • Prepare and communicate policy conditions for administration processing to maintain efficiency
  • Follow up on offer of quotation or renewal to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Update reporting systems to track key performance indicators
  • Ensure DUAL's needs and interests are protected through effective underwriting procedures
  • Adhere to underwriting authority guidelines to maintain compliance
