We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operational Risk Manager to join our team at La Trobe Financial. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of operational risk across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain risk policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with industry best practices.
  • Support the maturity of our risk management framework, including the integration of our enterprise risk management system.
  • Design and implement a controls assessment and testing framework to evaluate controls and recommend enhancements.
  • Provide expert advice on risk-related matters, particularly operational risk, to internal stakeholders.
  • Support the operational processes associated with our third-party risk management framework.
  • Identify and communicate the company's risk appetite and tolerance levels.
  • Establish mechanisms for identifying, monitoring, and reporting key risk metrics and exposure.
  • Prepare regular risk reports for key stakeholders, senior management, and the board.
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Assurance, or Internal Audit with deep experience in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
  • Strong working knowledge of risk and compliance management in the financial services or asset management sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish credibility, influence, and negotiate outcomes effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and self-directed.
