Experienced Project Manager for NBN/Telecommunications Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Sydney. This is a Temp to Perm role offering a competitive hourly rate and long-term career opportunities.
In this role, you will oversee multiple projects across the NBN/Telecommunications space, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and excellent delivery outcomes. Our ideal candidate has experience with NBN/TELCO, NBN Enable tickets (favourable), and a current driver's license. Relevant trade or engineering qualifications are also essential, along with demonstrated effective people management skills and techniques.

Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Understanding and interpreting 'Dial before you Dig' plans.
- Ensuring all subcontractors/workers undertake their tasks in accordance with Excavation Permits/Start Cards/Risk Assessments.
- Communicating progress with relevant stakeholders, including Engineers/Project Coordinators/Area Supervisors/Superintendents, on a daily basis or as specified.
- Problem-solving construction-related issues and collaborating with subcontractors, superintendents, and engineers to identify and agree on solutions.
- Planning efficient and logical construction activities using safety-conscious methodologies.
- Communicating the construction plan and daily activities with subcontractors and driving delivery to plan.
- Managing and delivering works within allocated budgets and timeframes.
- Escalating and addressing resource requirements and shortages with Area Supervisors/Superintendents.
- Liaising with Site Engineers to ensure materials and equipment are available ahead of construction activities.
- Maintaining site safety and halting/escalating any unsafe work practices.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience in NBN/TELCO.
- NBN Enable tickets (favourable).
- A current driver's license.
- Relevant trade or engineering qualifications or equivalent in civil construction.
- Demonstrated effective people management skills and techniques.
- At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory role or equivalent.
- The ability to read and interpret plans.
- Demonstrated budget management and administration skills for projects.
- Able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
- This role requires valid police checks and medicals.
