This role requires an experienced and motivated individual to oversee the day-to-day operation of a furniture warehouse. The successful candidate will ensure all stock is clean, presentable, in working order and available to meet event schedules.
The Warehouse Manager - Furniture will be responsible for managing dispatches, returns, inventory, and warehouse workflows efficiently using Point of Rental (POR). They will also ensure 100% order accuracy in picking and dispatching furniture in line with documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the furniture warehouse
- Manage dispatches, returns, inventory, and warehouse workflows
- Ensure 100% order accuracy in picking and dispatching furniture
- Manage delivery and return logistics
- Maintain accurate inventory
- Implement and improve the full "shelf-to-shelf" cycle of stock handling
- Uphold rigorous quality control standards
- Maximise team efficiency
- Lead with a strong safety culture
- Ensure warehouse layout and setup is optimised
- Manage administration, staff rosters, delivery runs, and team productivity
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operational execution
- Oversee storage conditions
- Be hands-on in loading and unloading vehicles when required
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of new warehouse staff
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience in warehouse, logistics or hire operations
- Strong leadership qualities with experience managing and motivating teams
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
- Forklift licence preferred
- A hands-on attitude and a drive to lead by example
