Job Title: Health And Safety Specialist
About the Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive health, safety and wellbeing framework across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and internal policies
- Supporting incident reporting and investigation processes
- Facilitating risk management and hazard identification activities
- Coordinating audits and compliance programs
- Leading health and safety committee meetings and stakeholder engagement
- Managing injury reporting, workers compensation and return-to-work processes
- Supporting wellbeing initiatives aligned with our organisational strategy
- Delivering inductions, emergency drills and training programs
- Preparing internal and external reports and documentation
- Providing technical advice and coaching to leaders
- Supporting system transitions and projects related to finance and operations
- Fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced, multi-site environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A strategic mindset and a genuine desire to make a positive impact
- Experience with Microsoft Office and safety databases
- A current driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel between sites
