We are seeking experienced and passionate individuals to join our dedicated team as Personal Care Assistants on a permanent full-time basis. As part of our team, you will create a safe and home-like environment for our residents and be responsible for providing resident personal care including assisting with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, toileting, and social support.
About the Role- Provide high-quality care that supports residents achieve maximum independence by meeting daily living and personal requirements within the care plan, and with consideration of individual preferences.
- Assist with personal hygiene, showering, and toileting, ensuring the highest standards of care and dignity.
- Support residents in their daily activities, such as meals service, mobility, and social interactions.
- Deliver direct resident care, including assisting with personal hygiene, showering, and toileting.
- Provide general resident support, including making beds, tidying rooms, and offering companionship.
- Prepare dining rooms for meal services and clean away afterwards.
- Assist residents who wish to participate in leisure and lifestyle activities.
- Promptly respond to resident call buttons for assistance.
- Promptly report any changes in resident health status to the Registered Nurse on duty.
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) (or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Assistant in a Residential Aged Care home.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents.
- Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
- Willingness to obtain NDIS clearance.
