Role Overview
This role is responsible for supporting customers with a prior offender history to find employment through an intensive case management approach.
Promoting customers through advocacy to employers will help them find suitable employment opportunities, while running group-based sessions to motivate and improve confidence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding and addressing vocational and other barriers that impact people's ability to gain employment
- Developing positive relationships with customers, employers, and staff
- Assessing, matching, and referring customers to job opportunities and advocating directly to employers
- Providing strong administration skills, IT literacy, data entry, and typing skills, Word, Excel, and Outlook experience
- Working under pressure and meeting deadlines
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Passion and drive for helping people find employment
- Previous experience in the employment services or Justice sector will be highly regarded
- Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or willingness to study
Selected candidates will need to obtain a National Police Clearance and Working Rights Check at our cost.
