About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our health and safety governance framework, you will be responsible for ensuring that all staff and contractors comply with statutory, contractual, and safety management system obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety systems through regular audits, reviews, and assessments.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of standards to ensure the project complies with S&H regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of project goals and objectives.
  • Foster a proactive and positive safety culture by engaging with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Suburban Connect's Health and Safety Governance framework to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with internal policies.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a health and safety advisory role, preferably with a focus on system safety, governance, and assurance. Your robust understanding of State and Federal Construction Safety legislation, combined with demonstrable experience of Safety Management System implementation, will enable you to make a significant impact in this position.
