We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Safety Specialist to join our Infrastructure Buildings and Defence national team in Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the success of our business, assisting on projects across buildings, defence, and transport infrastructure.

About the Role

In this position, you will work under the direction of senior management and engineers to develop fire safety engineering design solutions and collaborate closely with other disciplines within KBR and externally as required.

You will be responsible for assisting on projects Australia-wide, working closely with the regional Building Services team.

Requirements

  • A degree in fire safety engineering or a relevant science- or engineering discipline is essential.
  • You must have a working knowledge of the BCA and fire safety engineering processes in Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and manage design work and engineering tasks is required.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and conduct skills are necessary, requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Ability to prepare and verify design calculations in fire engineering and modelling is crucial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.
