Job Overview

This role involves designing, implementing and supporting critical infrastructure solutions across multiple platforms.

As a senior expert, you will provide high-level advice, mentor junior staff and ensure the security and stability of enterprise gateway infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manage infrastructure solutions to meet current and future demands.
  • Provide expert technical support for project builds, testing and solution deployments.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation including design, implementation and test plans.
  • Assist in ICT strategy development, policies and operational procedures.
  • Participate in change management processes and deliver specialist advice to senior executives.
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues and research emerging technologies for adoption.
  • Collaborate with external service providers and government stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage backup, high availability and disaster recovery operations.
Key Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in designing, managing and maintaining internet gateways and large-scale data centre networking environments.
  • Strong experience with F5/Blue Coat Layer 4-7 load balancing and proxy systems, Cisco technologies, Palo Alto firewalls and IPS solutions.
  • Knowledge of VPN technologies, email and DNS solutions, and exposure to hybrid and public cloud services.
  • Experience in developing system architecture documentation and familiarity with Australian Government information security policies.
