About the Role
The Principal Programs Officer will drive and implement the Service's strategic agenda in relation to child abuse and exploitation, and implement key recommendations from the Women's Safety and Justice Taskforce.
- Identify opportunities to enhance QPS business improvement, including child abuse and sexual violence matters.
- Provide expert advice, support and guidance to leadership teams, stakeholder groups and program and project teams in support of deliverables.
- Lead and manage assigned program and project activities using contemporary program and project management and related frameworks, methodologies, and policies.
- Facilitate informed business decisions, improve business processes and meet changing business needs.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of the QPS and partner agencies to deliver initiatives in accordance with prioritised business objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of work deliverables, initiatives and business support priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. They will have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and provide expert advice to inform business decisions.
This role is a high-profile position within the Queensland Police Service, requiring strong leadership and coordination skills to drive business improvements across multiple domains.
