About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Services Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about automation and wants to work with cutting-edge technology.

The ideal candidate will be a blend of DevOps Engineer, Client-facing Consultant, Puppet trainer, and Pre-Sales Engineer. They will have the ability to manage time and projects effectively, as well as solid experience working with Puppet Enterprise or Puppet Open Source.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in software DevOps, Systems Administration, Automation, or Network Infrastructure. They will also have strong customer relations & presentation skills, and be able to speak well in front of an audience and with customers.

We are looking for someone who is excited about working with the Puppet Enterprise and Open-Source community, and has a passion for problem-solving. The ideal candidate will also have excellent time and project management skills, and be able to travel up to 10% domestically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with customers to design and implement solutions that help them deliver software faster and more reliably
  • Deliver Puppet training and workshops to customers
  • Assist the education team to keep training accurate and up-to-date as products and customer needs evolve
  • Provide pre-sales support to Sales & Marketing
  • Develop, publish and maintain Puppet modules and products
  • Develop and promote integration and tooling around Puppet products
  • Contribute blog posts and other communication for Puppet
  • Work with R&D and Product Management to develop and test Puppet products
