Overview:

Ventia's NSW Schools contract delivers high-quality cleaning services to public schools, catholic schools, and government facilities across various regions.

We are seeking experienced professionals to fill newly created Area Cleaning Supervisors & Assistant Cleaning Supervisors positions within our fresh onboarding & training program. This program will equip you with the necessary tools to excel in your role.

This position involves frequent travel throughout the Newcastle/Hunter region. We will strive to allocate you a region close to your home.

Compensation Package:

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000-$95,000 per annum inclusive of Superannuation.

A company car with fuel included will also be provided.

In addition to the attractive compensation package, we offer flexible work hours – allowing you to manage your day effectively.

About the Role:

  • Managing an efficient roster of employees including fulltime, part-time, and casual staff.
  • Performing hands-on cleaning duties when required.
  • Daily management of staff including on-call for sick leave or general inquiries.
  • Ensuring all school sites meet contractual compliance requirements in relation to site documentation, equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
  • Effective communication with clients, customers, and staff regarding service delivery, operational issues, project progress, and continual improvement.
  • Supervising staff and providing ongoing training and development.
  • Regular inspections to ensure high-quality work standards.
  • Promoting and monitoring safe work practices.

Requirements:

  • Ability to supervise approximately 30-35 cleaners across various shift times.
  • Desirable: demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and influence staff members.
  • An approachable and collaborative leader who promotes a positive work culture.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft programs including Excel, Outlook, etc.
