Production Delivery Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Delivery Manager to lead our Locomotive Build Line and Test Area. As a key member of our Manufacturing & Maintenance Transport business, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient production and testing of locomotives, ensuring alignment with the detailed production plan.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the production process, including sub-assembly inputs, resource allocation, and material flow, to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Champion the use of visual management tools to track production progress, highlight issues, and maintain clear communication throughout the production line.
- Own the production line metrics, including Safety, Quality, Production performance CPI, status to takt dates, and drive outcomes to issues impacting production.
- Collaborate with Operations Support, Procurement, Warehouse teams, and external stakeholders to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts by applying lean manufacturing principles, workflow optimization, and visual management in production and test areas.
We are looking for a strong leader with excellent communication skills, proven experience in a Production Management role, preferably within the rail or heavy engineering sectors. You should have demonstrated ability to manage complex production processes and deliver large-scale projects on time and within budget.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing demands, prioritize team demands, manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow through. Proven experience in visual management and a customer-focused delivery mindset are essential.
