Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role
At Huon Aquaculture Company, we're seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Accounts Payable functions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing and processing high volume transactions to optimize the company's cash flow.
- Receiving and inputting invoices into our accounts payable systems, matching them with purchase orders for timely payment.
- Building collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as the first point of contact for enquiries.
- Maintaining and creating vendor master data in accordance with company due diligence, ensuring all vendor accounts are up to date.
- Assisting with month end processes and preparing EFT payments for timely approvals.
About you
- You have relevant qualifications in accounts payable with experience in reconciliation.
- You are a confident communicator who enjoys building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Your organization and multi-tasking skills are a strength, as is your ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- You have a growth mindset, demonstrating a willingness to learn and respond positively to feedback.
- You excel at handling repetitive tasks with a keen eye for detail in a high-volume environment.
