Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Providing management accounting services to clients, including preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Assisting with the management of the Finance Hub team, including mentoring and supervising team members.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Preparing and lodging tax and superannuation returns, including Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
  • Providing payroll processing and management services, including preparation of payroll reports and statements.
  • Assisting with the preparation and lodgement of periodic superannuation and payroll tax reporting and payments.
  • Providing general ledger management services, including preparation of balance sheet, profit and loss, and cashflow statements.
  • Assisting with the transition of clients to automated cloud software systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will require:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process financial transactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Experience in management accounting and payroll processing, with a strong understanding of financial accounting requirements.
  • Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with cloud-based accounting software.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will be required to have:

  • A certificate qualification in accounting or a related field, or significant experience in a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations, with a high level of technical knowledge.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.
