Construction Foreman Job Description

Harrison Barratt Group (HBG) is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead teams on large-scale civil projects in Western Sydney. As the Construction Foreman, you will be the key point of contact between workers and supervisors, ensuring smooth operations on-site. Your leadership and extensive hands-on experience will be essential for the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate tasks and manage on-site operations according to project priorities and schedules.
  • Produce work schedules and monitor crew attendance.
  • Assign daily responsibilities to workers and tradespeople.
  • Supervise, train, and manage workers, ensuring resources are adequately allocated.
  • Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met on-site.
  • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
  • Monitor project expenses and ensure budgets are maintained.
  • Resolve any on-site issues promptly.
  • Report progress and updates to senior management.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Foreman.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction processes, equipment, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) guidelines.
  • Experience in early works trade (Excavation, Piling, Shotcrete, etc.) and general civil works.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and blueprints.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good physical condition and stamina.
  • High school diploma or a qualification in a skilled trade is preferred.
